Those of you who have ever attempted a longish trip under the steam of pedal power will know that cycling around Australia is no small thing. It takes planning, guts, fitness, determination and, most importantly, a great support crew, both on the road and back at home.
Go Girl Australia is Marg's brainchild and the culmination of many years working to achieve better pregnancy and birthing options for all Australian women. Click here to read about what inspired Marg to take on this challenge.
Sue
Driver Sue is no stranger to adventure. Most recently she joined Marg for a 700-km trek along the Camino de Santiago Pilgramage Trail (2008) and on a three-month test run for Muriel. Sue has been instrumental in planning the Go Girl project and is the number 1 member of Marg's support team.
Marg's Fellow Midwives
For the past several years Marg has worked as part of the team of midwives who form the publicly funded Darwin Home Birth Service. Offering one-to-one care from a known midwife throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond, these midwives provide the standard of care to which Marg believes all women are entitled. Pictured above are (right to left) Merryl, Mo, Marg and Robyn. Along with most recent addition to the team, Jane, the midwives of the HBS will be following Marg's progress and cheering her on from back home.
Website
A client of Marg's and a strong advocate of informed choice in all aspects of pregnancy, birth and parenting, Kylie will keep you up to date on the website as Marg's journey progresses.
